I had the resolve to see a specialized psychiatrist after getting out of treatment. A lady who specialized in addictions and she really, really helped me a lot. Treatment centers are by far not "cure all's" and people (myself included) need outside help to deal with other issues besides those involved directly with drinking. Good luck to you and your son. We beleive that he also has some mental problems and no one has detected that yet, but its obvious. Is there a program somewhere where he can get this help along with the abuse one?
